Snapchat allows users to share stories via Discover feature

Snapchat’s Discover feature, which has content from publishers like CNN, Comedy Central, etc, has gotten an update which will allow users to share the  content they find on Discover, reports TechCrunch.

Discover was launched in January and includes content from publishers, although the viewership has been down reports The Information. According to the report, traffic for Discover has dropped by as

much as 50 percent since launch.

The feature, which comes as part of an update, is Snapchat’s attempt to boost usage for Discover. According to TechCrunch’s report, the new feature allows users to tap and hold a picture or video on Discover and then add captions, and send to friends.

The Snaps have a “‘Sent via Discover’ banner that users can click to jump straight into Discover,” adds the report.

This isn’t the only feature on Snapchat. A day before Snapchat announced that users can offer downloadable vector files to friends, who can then scan these codes and add them on the app. To add a friend users just need to point their camera at a vector file of a Snapcode, (an individualized QR code for a fellow user) and tap on the screen. Snapcode were first introduced in January.
