Amazon has launched a new annual membership plan - Prime Lite. Priced at Rs 999, this is a toned-down version of the regular Prime membership. The benefits of this plan include free delivery on select orders and limited access to Prime Video. The Amazon Prime Lite membership offers the same free two-day delivery while the free one-day delivery service is limited to the slightly expensive standard plan. Prime Lite users who wish to receive morning delivery on eligible products can pay an additional Rs 175 per order. Similarly, this plan also offers free no-rush shipping to eligible addresses with a flat Rs 25 cashback per order. Prime Lite subscribers with an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card can get a flat 5% discount on all Amazon.in purchases and will receive 2% cashback for other purchases. Lastly, this plan also includes access to Amazon Prime Video. However, Prime Lite users can only access Prime Video on two devices simultaneously, and the resolution is also limited to HD. Unlike the regular Prime membership, which costs Rs 1,499 per year, the Prime Lite membership does not include access to Amazon Music, Prime Reading, Prime Gaming, and Prime Advantage benefits. These benefits include no-cost EMI on smartphone purchases and up to 6 months of free screen replacement on select devices. Users can subscribe to the Prime Lite plan via Amazon's official website or through the app on an Android or iOS device. Users who primarily want a membership for shopping and watching content on Prime Video can consider Prime Lite, which is Rs 500 cheaper than the regular Amazon Prime subscription. Similarly, one can also consider one-month and three-month Prime memberships, priced at Rs 299 and Rs 599, respectively.
