Amazon recently unveiled its latest lineup of Kindle e-readers, including the company's very first coloured Kindle - Colorsoft. The launch of its most ambitious product, however, hasn't gone as expected. Some of the first batch of buyers have started to notice a yellow bar at the bottom of the e-book reader that covers almost five to ten per cent of the screen. Amazon acknowledged the problem and spokesperson Jill Tornifoglio issued the following statement to The Verge: "We’re aware of a small number of reports from customers who see a yellow band along the bottom of the display. We take the quality of our products seriously and are looking into it. If customers notice this on their device, they can reach out to our customer service team." Colorsoft has yellow tinge to bottom of display byu/TheVloginator inkindle While some users have reported that the yellow bar goes almost unnoticed, others are complaining that it is too distracting. For now, it's unclear whether this is caused due to software or hardware issues. The product currently has an average rating of 2.6 stars on Amazon, and many users have reported several issues about the product in the review section, and even on Reddit. Amazon has also pushed forward shipping dates by at least two weeks. Right now, the Kindle Colorsoft is only available in select markets like the United States of America, but in the coming months, the company is expected to expand the availability to markets including India.
