WWDC, the annual Apple developers conference opens on Monday, June 8 in San Francisco. This is the conference where Apple reveals iOS 9 that powers its iPhones and iPads, along with OS X, the operating system for Macs.
But WWDC does not just showcase new features of the two operating systems. It also gives a sneak peak at how Apple plans to woo app developers in the year and is an important event for the community as well.

The Apple key note address will start at 10.30 pm Indian Standard Time and according to the iCal schedule, this will be a two hour long event which will end at 12.30 am.
In order to watch the Apple key note live, users will need an Apple device (an Apple TV, Mac, iPhone or iPad) to watch the live-stream of the Apple WWDC keynote. As Apple’s website points out in order to watch the event live you will need Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. If you have an Apple TV, then streaming requires second-or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.
In addition to this, Apple has allowed AltConf to live-stream WWDC keynote and Platforms State of the Union sessions. AltConf issues this press statement, “Thanks to the support and passion the community has responded with over the past 24 hours, Apple is allowing AltConf to stream the WWDC Keynote and Platforms State of the Union address on Monday as originally planned.”
AltConf is an alternative, free event which is held in downtown San Francisco at the same time as Apple WWDC in order to support those developers who cannot pay to attend the official event.
AltConf wrote in their press statement, “Attendees of AltConf are encouraged to show up no earlier than 8AM at the Metreon on Monday to ensure everyone gets in the door. Theatre doors will open at 9AM. Please note, there will be no reserved seating on Monday.”
