Unlike the iPhone-focused “It’s Glowtime” event, the upcoming launch event will be dedicated to Macs, specifically the Apple Silicon M4-powered Macs. It is speculated to include a refreshed iMac, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and more. Besides new Macs, Apple could also introduce a much-needed refresh to the iPad mini.
Here is everything we know so far about all the products that Apple might unveil at its October event:

Possibly the worst-kept secret from Apple in recent times, a product that has been unboxed ahead of the official announcement. The upcoming MacBook Pro models are expected to be very similar to the current ones and will come in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Both versions of the new MacBook Pro are anticipated to have M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips. It is rumoured that the entry-level MacBook Pro with the M4 chip could come with 16 GB of RAM, which is double the amount in the previous model.
The base variant of the M3 MacBook Pro (review) was ridiculed for shipping with just 8 GB RAM, especially considering that it costs upwards of Rs 1,50,000, and Apple might fix it with the latest iteration. Besides this, the M4 MacBooks are also expected to include an additional Thunderbolt USB-C port on the right side along with two on the left, offering more connectivity options to users.

Apple’s Mac mini was one of the first computers from the company to get Apple Silicon. However, the design of the Mac mini has remained unchanged for over a decade, and the next-generation M4-powered Mac mini is reportedly getting a design overhaul, with a thinner chassis and will even drop USB-A ports in favour of modern aesthetics, reports Bloomberg. Expected to be available with M4 and M4 Pro chips, the Mac mini M4 will likely be the most affordable Mac with the latest generation Apple Silicon. Again, just like the MacBook Pro, the base variant reportedly ships with 16 GB of RAM.

Apple is also expected to upgrade the iMac with the new chip and more memory with minimal design or form factor changes. However, the accessories accompanying the iMac M4 might get a refreshed Magic keyboard, mouse, and trackpad. Again, just like their predecessor, the iMac M4 will have multiple colour options.

At Apple’s October event, we might see at least one new iPad model – the iPad mini. It is expected to be powered by the A18 chip with 8 GB of RAM, which is the same chip that powers the iPhone 16 to enable Apple Intelligence. Besides, the iPad mini, the smallest tablet from Apple, is also expected to gain support for the new Apple Pencil Pro, which is currently compatible with the latest iPad Air and iPad Pro models. We could also expect to see the storage on the base variant go up from 64 GB to 128 GB.
