Apple has announced the finalists for its 2023 App Store Award finalists. Chosen by the App Store editorial team, the Cupertino-based tech giant has picked several apps and games spanning across 10 different categories.

Apple said the “selected apps and games have helped users flex their creativity, challenge themselves, and have fun with family and friends.” Here are the 2023 App Store Award finalists in each category.

iPhone app of the year finalists

AllTrails – an app that acts as a companion and guide for outdoor adventures.

Duolingo – the popular app that helps users learn new languages on the go.

Flighty – an app that helps stay updated about flights.

iPhone game of the year finalists

Afterplace – an open-world indie adventure role-playing game that is full of hidden secrets and creatures.

Honkai: Star Rail – a space fantasy role-playing game with tactical combat and cinematic animation.

Vampire Survivors – a time survival RPG where you take on endless hordes of demons.

iPad app of the year finalists

Concepts – an easy-to-use vector-based sketchbook that helps convert conceptual ideas to reality.

DaVinci Resolve – a software that helps with both video editing and colour correction.

Prêt-à-Makeup – digital face chart notepad that features several tools that help you create realistic-looking faces and try different types of makeup.

Eggy Party – a fun game where you play as a cute egg and break through different obstacles.
