Google’s Bard received a lot of criticism when it was initially launched, especially for its reasoning ability and people began drawing comparisons with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. However, the situation has changed since then and Google has been making it better with every update. With the latest release, Google has significantly improved its generative AI, surpassing its previous limitations. According to the company, the latest beta update has made Bard considerably smarter, with enhanced reasoning abilities.

According to the blog, Google Bard is now further optimized and comes with improved maths and data analyzing capabilities. The blog further explains that Google has updated Bard to detect computational prompts, and it can even run code in the background, making it better for mathematical, coding, and string manipulation-related tasks.

Google states that Bard is now better at analyzing data and can even understand complex mathematical expressions, such as “finding how many times a certain number shows up in a data set.” However, the company acknowledges that it may not always get it right, and it will continue to improve it based on user feedback.

The latest beta version of Google Bard was released on 7th June and is available for all users across the world. Google has also added an option where users who give access to their precise location get more relevant results.

Additionally, you can now export Bard-generated tables to Google Sheets, improving cross-compatibility. Currently, Bard can only be used via a web browser and can be accessed from a smartphone, tablet, and laptop.
