Earlier this year, Google introduced ‘Circle to Search’, a new Android feature that lets you search anything on your screen without having to switch apps. Initially available on Pixel and Samsung devices, Circle to Search is handy if you want to look up information about products or anything that pops up on your phone and can even answer complex questions using the tech giant’s multi-search functionality.

According to a new report by Android Authority, a recent beta version of the Google app reveals a redesigned Circle to Search user interface. Compared to the current version, where the search bar, music and the translate button appear as floating elements, the new version of the app houses them in a pill-shaped box.

Also, it looks like Google will soon be replacing the translate button with an app drawer button, tapping on which will allow users to access like translate and Google Lens. To give you a quick recap, Google had initially added the Lens button to Circle to Search, but a few months later, replaced it with the ‘Identify a song’ button.

While the new version of Circle to Search will require users to go through the hassle of opening the app drawer to access existing functionalities, we have the tech giant give users a way to swap the music button in the main UI with the Google Lens shortcut.

Earlier this year in September, Google was spotted testing a new Circle to Search functionality that allowed users to search for information in a video, but there is no news on if and when it will be available.
