Lately, the Google Play Store has been scrutinised by various government agencies around the world for its billing policy, but that hasn’t deterred developers from adding useful features. A few months ago, Google updated the Play Store with a new functionality that allows users to install two apps simultaneously. Now, the tech giant is rolling out the ability to update multiple apps at the same time. According to 9to5Google, the feature is now available across multiple devices, and we can also confirm the same. It looks like the number of apps that can be updated in parallel is limited to three, which is on par with what the Apple App Store permits. The report also states that the new limit is also applicable when installing new apps. However, it is still unclear if the new feature is being rolled out as a server side or as an update to the Play Store itself and there’s no word if and when the new functionality will be available to everyone. So, you might have to wait a while before you get it on your Android device. In addition to parallel app updates, Google is also testing the ability to automatically launch newly installed apps alongside an “Ask someone else to pay for this item” feature.
