Google Play has rolled out a brand new feature that lets users pre-register for apps or games with it  before they are launched. Once you’ve registered for an app, the the play store then sends a notification to your phone or tablet as soon as it is available for download.

According to a post on Android Police, the first app available for pre-registration is Terminator Genisys: Revolution, a game. The page does not give give much information on release date or price quite yet but contains other details like the game’s developer, Glu Mobile, screenshots, a video and a description. An unregister button is also available in case users decide to not download the app after all.

While this may prove to be an exciting new feature for users to get their hands on their favourite apps and games right after they are released, the flip-side to it is the lack of information as it does not mention app compatibility, price.
