(Image: Infinix)Infinix has unveiled its latest budget device — the Smart 8 Plus. The new phone packs a huge 6,000mAh battery along with 18W fast charging support, which Infinix claims will provide all-day battery life even for power users.
The Smart 8 Plus sports a “timber texture” design made of polycarbonate. While not as premium as glass or metal, the textured plastic back does give it an elegant look and feel, according to Infinix. The company says the phone has undergone rigorous testing to ensure durability and reliability.
In the camera department, the Smart 8 Plus features a 50MP dual AI rear camera system with quad LED flash. For selfies, it has an 8MP front-facing shooter. The rear cameras are supposed to take high-quality photos using AI scene detection and optimization.
The display is a 6.6-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Infinix has included a “Magic Ring” around the punch-hole that can display notifications and status icons.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio G36 octa-core processor paired with up to 8GB RAM. Storage tops out at 128GB but can be expanded via microSD card up to 2TB. Other specs include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, facial recognition, DTS audio enhancements, and Android 13 Go Edition software.
The Infinix Smart 8 Plus is now available to purchase in India through Flipkart for Rs 6,999 (inclusive of bank offers). For the price, it seems to offer decent hardware and impressive battery life.
