Microsoft to launch Office 2016 for Windows on September 22

After demoing Office tailored for iPad Pro at Apple Event, Microsoft has announced that the Windows version of the productivity suite will launch on September 22.

While Office 2016 doesn’t bring any significant changes onboard there are some incremental changes which will offer more options to the core strength of Office. The most talked about feature being the ability to do real-time editing by multiple people right from the desktop app.

Microsoft has added dark theme and colorful theme option. There are new charts being introduced with Excel app. Microsoft is also adding support for Data Loss Prevention and Multi-factor Authentication across the Office 2016 apps.

Microsoft had rolled out Office 2016 Public Preview in the month of March. Microsoft is also announcing new tools for enterprises that help them manage and deploy Office 365.
