At the Lenovo Tech World 2023, the company showcased a new smartphone form factor, which is said to be an improved version of Lenovo’s wrist phone concept, showcased almost seven years ago. This is a phone that’s primarily built around a flexible 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED screen called an adaptive display, which can bend backwards and wrap around a wrist like a large digital wristband or a smartwatch.
Lenovo/Motorola has not shared any details on the features and specifications of this device. Looking at the product, it looks like the device does not have any sort of camera, and it is likely to be running on Android OS.
Again, this is just a concept, which helps the brand to showcase the latest technological innovations to the world, similar to the rollable smartphone called Rizr, that Motorola showcased at MWC 2023, which was powered by a motor that could roll in and rollout an OLED screen.
Most brands are currently looking at various form factors for smartphones, which include flip and fold-style design. Lenovo-owned Motorola is already known for its flip phones, and with this showcase, the company continues to demonstrate strong research and development in the new-age smartphone form factors. In fact, Lenovo is also the first company to launch a foldable laptop.
