Nothing Phone 2a launch highlights: Pricing starts at Rs 23,999

The Nothing Phone 2a will start at Rs 23,999 for the base model and will be available on sale on Flipkart. 

Nothing promises three years of major Android updates and four years of security updates for the phone, which is rare at its price point. 

Here are some of the improvements you can expect from the Nothing Phone (2a) over the Nothing Phone (1), according to the company, 

The design team at Nothing revealed they took an experimental approach, playing around with various designs while staying true to the brand's signature design principles before finally landing on the sleek and eye-catching look of the Nothing Phone 2a.

The Nothing Phone 2a is being assembled at a Chennai facility. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis has provided a glimpse at how the phone is being assembled, running through the processes of assembly, drop-testing, and packaging.

Images of the Nothing Phone 2a make it very clear that the phone is built in line with the company’s current design philosophy. But unlike the two other Nothing Phones, the Phone 2a has a dual-camera set up that is centred at the top of the phone. The horizontal placed dual camera setup gives the phone a new look, especially with the entire back panel seemingly designed around the camera unit.

Nothing announced that the Phone 2a will run a “custom-built” Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor with up to 256 GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. The Dimensity 7200 Pro is an octa-core processor fabricated by TSMC using a 2nd Gen 4nm process with a peak CPU clock speed of 2.8 GHz and Arm Mali G610 MC4 GPU.

The budget Nothing Phone 2a will be launched during a physical event at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi at 5 PM IST on Tuesday. You can watch it through the YouTube livestream link below. 

With just a few hours left for launch, here’s a rundown of the expected specifications. The Nothing Phone 2a is expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The company has also confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Dimensity 7200 Pro chip. At the back, the phone will feature a dual camera system with a 50 MP primary camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. The battery size is expected to be 5,000mAh.
