Opera, the Norweigan company known for making web browsers recently launched Opera Air, a new internet browser with mindfulness and mental wellbeing at its core. The browser has a frosted look and adapts to the background of the website loaded.
In a blog post, the company said that Opera Air integrates mindfulness tools such as “breathing exercises, meditation, binaural beats, stretching and positive quotes” integrated in the browsing experience.
According to Mohamed Salah, the Senior Director of Product at Opera, they wanted to create a browser that helps users navigate the web in a way that makes them “feel and function better.”
When you use Opera Air, the browser will remind you tio take a break so that you can relax. It comes with a new feature dubbed “Take a Break”, which takes users to breathing exercises, meditation and a full body scan, which ranges anywhere between three to 15 minutes.
Opera Air also has a “Boosts” feature that uses binaural beats, an auditory technique that is known to influence brain activity and promote relaxation, focus and meditative state. Some of the available boosts include Creativity Boost, Energized Focus, Deep Relaxation and one that helps users recall their dreams. If you are interested in the ‘Quote of the Day’, it is in the Speed Dial area.
Similar to the company’s other browsers like Opera and Opera GX, Air also comes with ad blocking, Aria AI and a built-in free VPN.
