Redmi Note 13, Vivo X100 launch highlights: Redmi Notes continue their upward pricing trajectory

Xiaomi shows off how the Redmi Note 13 Pro is an extremely compelling upgrade over the Redmi Note 12 Pro. There are camera improvements, performance enhancements, and more. But perhaps the biggest one is the fact that the new model is now powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip - a near flagship-level performer.

Vivo X100 Pro's massive camera array with Zeiss optics includes a 50MP Sony IMX989 primary sensor, 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide angle lens, 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens with OIS, and, all this is backed by Zeiss APO certification dToF. There is also a high-resolution 32 MP selfie camera, which is a Samsung GD2 sensor. The camera can shoot 4K videos from all the camera sensors and it also comes with a dedicated Zeiss mode.

The upper mid-range chipset is manufactured on a 4nm TSMC process. This chip gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery.

Xiaomi has gotten around to announcing the camera sensor that made the incredible camera samples possible - Samsung's 200MP HP3 sensor. The company says the imaging system is a product of the collaboration between Xiaomi, Samsung, and MediaTek. The phone's claimed to offer 4x lossless zoom and also features OIS+EIS for optimal stabilisation.

The Vivo X100 Pro comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage and can be purchased for Rs 89,999.

The base variant of the Vivo X100, which comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 63,999 whereas the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version can be purchased for Rs 69,999. 

Xiaomi says the device offers the best visual experience on any Redmi Note so far and that its specs are nearing flagship territory. The display is 1,800 nits bright, has an in-display fingerprint sensor underneath, and is curved around the edges. It's also HDR10+ certified.

The Vivo X100 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G comes in three exciting colour options, with the Fusion Purple option featuring a leatherette back. The phone also features a curved back and front, offering an optimal grip.

Both Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, which is 40 per cent faster than its predecessor while reducing power consumption by 33 per cent.
