Now, we have seen it all. Sharp's concept phone, the RoBoHoN, looks like a robot. Sharp says it is a "phone you have never seen before. a phone in human shape." My fear is, 'how do I prevent my four-year-old from running away with my phone?'. He has toys that looks more serious than the RoBoHoN. And, seriously, I don't think I will feel like talking to something that looks like it's been born from the wedlock of a martian and a marmoset. Common, tech can't be so tough. or so silly. But we have to give it to the guys at Sharp for packing so much tech into this phone, or should we say humanoid? It is, of course, a phone and it lets you check emails and other text on a screen at its back. But it can also walk up to you when there is an incoming call, it can remind you of an important event, can be a standalone (no pun intended) camera, project videos for you to watch and just be fun to have around. See video here Yes, someone at Sharp really had a field day with the RoBoHoN. Standing 19.5cm tall and weighing all of 30 grams - now, try using that as a phone - the RoBoHoN supports LTE and Wi-Fi thanks to a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. Despite its large size, the display is a tiny 2-inch QVGA. The walking, talking phone is yet to get a release date. But we are sure there will be people queuing up to buy this one, certainly in Japan.
