Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 series with some exclusive AI features like Circle to Search, Call Assist, Browsing Assist and moret. Now, the South Korean phone maker is bringing Google’s Circle to Search on select Galaxy A series devices and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series tablets.

To give a quick recap, as the name suggests, Circle to Search lets users draw a circle around anything they come across while browsing the internet and lets them quickly search for information regarding the product or the image without having to leave the app. Instead of drawing circles around an image or text, users can also highlight or scribble on a specific area of a photo to find similar products.

Over time, Samsung said it has added some new functionalities like “full-page translation, homework help and QR and barcode scanning capabilities” to Circle to Search. The tech giant went on to say that on select Galaxy A and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series users can “ask more complex questions about what you see” on the screen.

Samsung says Circle to Search will be available on the Galaxy A55, A54, A35 and the A34 sometime this month, but there is no news on when it will be coming to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus.

How to use Circle to Search on Samsung Galaxy devices?

If you are using on-screen navigation buttons, long press on the home screen and a Google Search menu will appear. Now, circle around an area and Google will show the relevant search results. For those using gesture navigation, simply long press on the gesture bar and proceed to circle, scribble or highligh the text or image you want to search for.

On Samsung devices that support S-Pen like the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, users can use the stylus to quickly circule around a product and get related results.
