Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Live Updates: Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Buds 3 Pro, Watch Ultra launched

Samsung has unveiled its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, featuring upgraded displays, cameras, and the new Galaxy AI features. The company also introduced the Galaxy Ring, a titanium smart ring for health tracking, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra, a premium smartwatch with advanced health monitoring capabilities.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 can be pre-reserved at a price of Rs 999. Existing Samsung customers can avail an upgrade bonus of Rs 15,000.

On-device AI algorithms will develop a knowledge graph for each user to offer them a personalised experience. The Galaxy AI Dashboard allows you to control your privacy as you get to choose what goes on the device and what goes on the cloud.

Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is here with a new design and futuristic blade lights. It is a quantum leap in wearability, as the nature of wearing enhances the audio experience. The device delivers Samsung’s most intelligent audio experience, offering super clear sound. The Adaptive Noise Cancellation is a distinct feature of the Buds 3 Pro that adjusts the surrounding noises based on their priority. For example, it lets you hear emergency alarms while drowning out the noise of drilling and construction.

Communication is central to our life, and with Galaxy AI, Samsung makes it effortless. While the brand earlier introduced Live Translate, it is now available in 16 languages by the end of July and 20 by the end of the year. Live Translate will also be supported on popular third-party apps. It works regardless of whether the other user has a Galaxy device or not. On the Z Flip 6, two people can use Live Translate via the Flex Window.

The all-new Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes with a 50 MP primary camera powered by the Pro Visual Engine. Detailed images and enhanced AI offer high-performance zoom with up to 10x. Capture photos hands-free with Flex Cam, which includes auto zoom that finds the best scenes for your pictures. Get everyone in one shot with auto zoom. Another feature, Instant Slow Motion, makes images dramatic. All of these features are powered by its fastest processor on a Z Flip yet, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with a 4000 mAh battery. It is the strongest Flip yet with its robust hinge.

Samsung claims that the all-new Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the lightest Fold launched and its weight is 14 grams less than the previous model of the foldable.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is designed for adventurers and those always on the go. It comes with a dual GPS system for more accurate location tracking and a personalised Functional Threshold Power (FTP) feature that lets cyclists have a clear understanding of how much power they have by cycling for just 4 minutes.

It can also detect Sleep Apnea and offers 10ATM water resistance and IP68 water and dust resistance. The Galaxy Watch Ultra comes with three physical buttons, offers up to 100 hours of battery life in power saving mode and is the first smartwatch to run on WearOS 5 out of the box. It is priced at $649, which roughly translates to Rs 54,200.

Samsung's widely anticipated Galaxy Ring will have uninterrupted monitoring with battery power that can last up to 7 days.

With a few minutes to go, the stage is set for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 that is being held in Paris while also being livestreamed on Samsung's official website and its YouTube channel.

Samsung's upcoming foldable phones - the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 are said to get new AI features. In a blog post, the tech giant said that it will "optimise the Galaxy AI experience for the upcoming foldable devices." Some of the much-rumoured AI features coming to the new foldables include personalised summaries, transcript assist and Google's Circle to Search functionality.

Samsung's Galaxy Watch series may also see an 'Ultra' variant, which is said to rival the Apple Watch Ultra 2. While the South Korean tech giant hasn't officially confirmed anything, rumour has it that the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have a squarish outer frame with a circular display.

Speculations also suggest that the upcoming smartwatch will have a new band mechanism with two button-like elements on the top and bottom and a third circular physical button sandwiched between the two existing rectangular buttons.

The Galaxy Watch 7 series will be getting new AI-powered features and a new Bioactive sensor, which Samsung says is 30 per cent more accurate than its predecessor.

At Galaxy Unpacked 2024, Samsung might unveil the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which rumours suggest will have Apple AirPods-like stems. The upcoming wireless earbuds are also expected to bring improvements to audio quality and battery life.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is said to feature 'Blade Lights', which could basically be an LED strip at the bottom of the buds. However, there is no word on what they will be used for.

Besides the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6, Samsung is expected to launch its much-awaited Galaxy Ring that made its debut in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in January this year. Based on the initial preview of the wearable, the Ring will be available in multiple finishes, including Gold, Silver, and Ceramic Black. It is also expected to come in eight to nine sizes in order to cater to different users' fingers.

As for the capabilities of the Galaxy Ring, reports suggest that it could be launched as a wellness device that's equipped with robust health and activity tracking features. However, the Ring is likely to be more than just a health tracker as Samsung's patented filings had earlier revealed more advanced innovation with the finger-worn device.

Samsung has confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series will feature a new BioActive sensor, which is said to be 30 per cent more accurate when compared to its predecessor. The new BioActive sensor is said to enable new health monitoring capabilities, including advanced glycation end products (AGEs) index, which can help users get a snapshot of their biological age. The sensor is said to be equipped with coloured LEDs, which are said to be essential for measuring accurate health metrics.
