It is among the few devices which provides 4G support in both SIM card slots at this price range. While the budget smartphone range has popular names like Xiaomi Redmi 2, Moto E, Lenovo A6000 Plus and others, Phicomm's Energy 653 has got everything right for its price. Specs: 5-inch 720p HD IPS display | 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 CPU | Expect 5.0 UI based on Android Lollipop | 1GB RAM | 8GB ROM (4GB available, up to 64GB expandable) | 8MP rear and 2MP front camera | Dual SIM (4G/3G + 2G) with 4G support | 2,300 mAh battery Price: Rs 4,999 What is good? On paper, Phicomm has given everything to its Energy 653 smartphone at Rs 1,000 less than what its competitors are offering. The display quality is decent and performance-wise the device can easily cater to needs of users in this price segment. Both the front and rear cameras of the Energy 653 are capable of delivering satisfying results. Phicomm has offered some software tweaks to better the overall experience, however, the good thing is that the Expect 5.0 UI keeps it simple and is similar to stock Android Lollipop. The battery does a decent job and can easily last for a day. What is not that good? There is nothing as such that consumers can complain about the Energy 653, however, they might be unsure about after sales support from Phicomm. Verdict If you are looking to buy a decent smartphone and cannot spend beyond Rs 5,000 then the Phicomm Energy 653 is a good choice.
