Airtel is offering free talk time worth 10 minutes local calling to its subscribers in Hudhud cyclone affected areas. The talk time will be automatically credited to all Airtel mobile customers in the region. Also, Airtel has started an advance talk time facility where customers can get talk time up to Rs. 50 by dialing 52141.
“We at Airtel continue to work round the clock with local authorities and DoT to restore connectivity across the affected areas. Parallely our teams are working towards setting up PCO’s at relief camps,” said the company in a statement.
To help people recharge their handsets, specifically in areas suffering with an electricity outage, mobile phone charging stations are being made available at tower sites along with no barring or suspension of services to customers in the affected areas.
