Sony Ericsson launched Satio,Aino,Yari

Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson launched three new handsets for the Indian consumers - Satio,Aino and Yari.

Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson on Thursday launched three new handsets for the Indian consumers – Satio,Aino and Yari,which are priced at Rs 35,950,Rs 28,950 and Rs 16,950 respectively.

“The smart phones are launched as part of our new ‘Communication Entertainment’ consumer proposition,” said Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India President Anil Sethi and added,”We want to bring to the consumer a value proposition and with these phones we have converged music,imaging,games and other applications.”

The company also intends to add about 100 new Sony Ericsson Experience stores by 2010,but declined to divulge any investment details.

“Once the 3G spectrum allocation happens,we can roll out more features with better network,” Sethi added.

He added that the company would bring out phones with prices upwards of Rs 4,000.

“In the days to follow,we will be rolling out an aggressive marketing campaign to support the launch of these products and to allow consumers to experience these products,” Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India General Manager Sudhin Mathur said.

The Satio,priced at Rs.35,950,comes with a 3.5-inch screen and offers a 16:9 widescreen format with 12.1 megapixel camera. Priced at Rs.28,950,the Aino offers eight megapixel camera services to access content stored on a PlayStation 3 from anywhere in the world through a Wi-Fi connection.

Yari debuts gesture gaming that enables users to make the moves in front of the screen and play games without even touching the phone. With a five megapixel camera,this smart phone is priced at Rs.16,950.
