Microsoft Edge is one of the most popular web browsers of all time. Apart from speed, a major reason why users are making the transition to Edge is because Microsoft often updates the browser with new features like video super resolution (VSR), Adobe Acrobat PDF integration, Bing Chat interface and more. While the majority of users might be familiar with the aforementioned features, did you know Edge lets you split tabs within the browser? This is really useful if you want to open two tabs side by side to compare things and can help you enhance your productivity. Here's how to enable and make the most of Microsoft Edge split-screen tabs. To enable split screen tabs in Microsoft Edge, type 'edge://flags/' in your address bar and type 'split' in the search bar of the page that appears. Now, you will see a flag called 'Microsoft Edge Split Screen'. Click on 'default', change the flag status to 'enabled' and you are good to go. Once done, open the tab you want to split and right-click any link on the page. Here, you will an option called 'Open link in split screen' and Edge will open the new link to the right of the currently open page. The page in focus will be marked by a blue-coloured margin with the browser offering the option to open a screen in a new tab or open the pages in separate tabs. Users can also choose if they want to open a new link in the current tab or from left to right.
