If you have an iPhone with TikTok, you might be in luck, as these devices are currently being listed for up to $25,000 on eBay in the United States of America. According to a report by USA Today, over 2,000 iPhones are being auctioned on eBay, with prices ranging from $100 to $25,000. One of the eBay listings has an iPhone 15 Pro Max, “with TikTok", for $10,000, and has over 1,800 views in just 24 hours. Another listing for an iPhone 16 Pro Max mentions “TikTok installed”. Some listings also mention other ByteDance apps like Lemon8 and CapCut, which have also disappeared from the App Store. Most of these high-value listings do not have any bids so far. However, there are plenty of low-value listings on the platform that seem to be gaining some traction. TikTok was temporarily banned in the US and removed from both Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. However, just a day later, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to reinstate TikTok in the country. Despite this, the app is yet to return to the App Store and Play Store. While Android users have the option to sideload TikTok, there is no such provision for iPhones in the US. This makes it impossible for users who uninstalled the app to reinstall it. This situation has led to a brief surge in demand for iPhones with TikTok application installed. These listings are likely to lose their value as soon as the app is reinstated on the App Store.
