Pilot’s mid-air proposalValentine’s Week just kicked off, and what better way to celebrate love than with a heart-warming proposal? A pilot surprised his girlfriend in an Aeromexico flight cruising at 30,000 feet with an announcement over the intercom before making his way down the aisle to propose.
According to the New York Post, the pilot, whose name remains undisclosed, shared his feelings with the entire cabin, speaking through the intercom. “Today, I boarded that same person who has transformed my life, my co-pilot of love and life, Norma Basurto,” he said in Spanish. His words left Basurto, the woman, surprised as she looked around, searching for him.
“From the day I met you, I knew I wanted to fly by your side in every adventure, in every storm and clear sky that life presents to us,” the pilot said. The anticipation in the cabin grew as he asked Basurto to stand, explaining that he was watching through the cameras.

Moments later, he emerged from the cockpit and walked towards her, got down on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?” Tears streamed down Basurto’s face and she said yes, sparking cheers and applause from fellow passengers.
