It’s officially Sabrina Carpenter’s world, and we’re just living in it. The “Espresso” singer, nominated for six Grammys in 2025, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, stunned the Internet with her ‘mishap-filled’ performance.

At the prestigious event, the rising pop star captivated the audience with a performance that blended humour and unexpected mishaps in a theatrically comic way. She donned a sparkling tuxedo and struggled to stay under the spotlight as it kept shifting along with her. Once she finally found her spotlight, she attempted to twirl a baton, however, it quickly flew out of her hands, leaving her flustered.

However, as she walked down, she continued descending further, disappearing completely behind the staircase. It became clear that Carpenter’s performance was a vaudeville-inspired act, the comedic theatrical style from the early 20th century, leaving the audience on the edge.

After changing into a glittering blue Victoria’s Secret bodysuit, she continued singing “Espresso” with the background performers, but the technical issues didn’t end there. While performing on a set designed to resemble a house, the lights began fluctuating and the walls collapsed. In response, the singer screamed and jumped into one of her dancer’s arms, who spun her around, prompting laughter from the singer as she continued with her performance.

Soon after Carpenter’s performance came to light, fans flocked to social media to react to it. “The harmony, the melody, the infusion of big band jazz, Espresso to Please back to Espresso, the modulation of the rhythms, the background vocals, the choreography…performance of the night hands down!” a fan wrote. “Pop is go back,” another fan commented.

“This performance is giving,” a third fan wrote. “She ate so bad,” a fourth fan said.
