Last week a thief with a hilarious disguise stole a package from Omar Gabriel Munoz’s doorstep in Sacramento, California, only for the latter’s doorbell camera to expose the whole thing.
According to a Washington Post report, the CCTV footage shows a giant black trash bag lumbering towards the porch, but with a pair of feet sticking out of its bottom. The “bag” then snatches a package and disappears.
Munoz, initially angry, found humour in the thief’s creativity. As the stolen package contained only phone chargers worth around $10, he did not report it to police.

Munoz had received a notification about the package’s arrival while at work. When he returned home, the package was missing. He thought the wind might have blown it away, but then his security camera revealed the bizarre truth.
“It was kind of funny in the end,” Munoz said to the Washington Post. “I choose to see the good in things. If you dwell on the negative, you won’t get far in life.”
Netizens are in disbelief about this genius tactic. One of them commented, “Nobody’s gonna know.” Another said, “if you gonna go to this length you can have it just for giving me a show. I’ll just have Amazon send a replacement.” Yet another wrote, “Oh hell nah. They’re getting too creative with this.”
A fourth user joked, “wouldn’t even be mad if I caught this on camera.”
