For years, people have spoken up for animals, but with the rise of the internet and growing digital awareness, discussions around cruelty and conscious eating have become louder. As a result, veganism has gained significant momentum. And now, even Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan appears to have been taken aback after learning what veganism truly entails.
In the now-viral clip, Sharma tells Bachchan about his seven-year vegan journey. Curious, Bachchan asks, “So you don’t use anything that comes from an animal?”
His words leave a clear impression. A visibly unsettled Bachchan responds, “Jaa kar ke aaj pareshaan honga main” (I will go home today and feel troubled about this). He adds, “You have opened my eyes.”
The moment was shared online by vegan creator Farah Amber and has already racked up nearly a million views.
Viewers praised the exchange, with one user saying, “It’s so refreshing to see the audience clapping at the truth, rather than getting annoyed by it!”
Another remarked, “It’s wonderful to see such a legend open to having his perspective changed… I hope his followers are as open as he is.”
