A professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has hailed Blinkit’s ambulance service as a “healthcare revolution India has been waiting for” after the hospital received a patient brought in through the quick commerce platform’s quick-response system.
In a viral post on LinkedIn, Deepak Agarwal, a neurosurgery professor, wrote about a patient being brought to the AIIMS Trauma Centre via Blinkit’s ambulance service. He praised the paramedic team for their professionalism and quick action, highlighting how they delivered essential care throughout the ride. From immobilising the C-spine to administering emergency medication, the team ensured the patient was stable and ready for immediate medical treatment upon arrival.
“This is the kind of service we used to read about and see in developed countries and is the healthcare revolution india has been waiting for,” Agarwal wrote. Along with the message, he attached a picture of the patient being brought to the hospital by the Blinkit staff.
