Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Sunday that the United States was also behind an anti-government plot by opposition leader Kem Sokha, who was arrested hours earlier, pro-government website fresh News reported.
Hun Sen was quoted as telling a group of garment factory workers that the “third party” behind the plot was the same as that behind a 1973 coup that is widely believed to have had US support.

“It’s the United States. It’s an act of treason with conspiracy with foreign country, betraying his own nation, this requires arrest,” Hun Sen said. Details of the alleged plot have not been made public.
