Dr Jaishankar has been the face of India’s diplomacy in the fast-changing world in the last five years. The first Foreign Secretary to become the Foreign Minister of the country, S Jaishankar has been key to shaping India’s foreign policy in the past few years of PM Modi Govt, where challenges like then COVID-19 pandemic, an assertive China in India’s neighborhood, the Russia-Ukraine war and the Israel-Hamas conflict, have upended the global world order.
