Unconvinced by the reply received from Uttar Pradesh DGP Karamvir Singh,the National Human Rights Commission has directed him to order an inquiry by an officer of the rank not below DIG,and belonging to a range other than Lucknow,into the police crackdown on Samajwadi Party workers in Lucknow on March 9 this year and submit the report within two months.
