Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, said the slain ultra was a Pakistani national and belonged to the JeM outfit.
The encounter took place at the Malwah area of Baramulla in North Kashmir. Four soldiers, including an officer and an official of the J&K police, were also injured in the operation.
The gunfight between the militants and a joint team of the police and the army started at dawn on Thursday in Malwah village. Three militants were killed on Thursday, while one was killed on Friday morning, the police said.
